Take out a couple pieces of paper. On one sheet, title it "Positives" and the other "Negatives". These will be the positive and negative concepts that are associated with cutting (or any other self-destructive behavior). List each appropriately.
You will soon realize that there is far more negativity that stems from your bad habit and they certainly outweigh any positives.
Tip: Display your chart somewhere that you will see it frequently.
